Taking Today's Step in the Right Direction
Normally (and that's a bad word!) we are expert at taking steps in the wrong direction. For starters, we're very good at wasting time and energy doing meaningless stuff.
But, when we're using our minds normally, it's much worse than that - we actually do wrong things, react in ways that make things worse, not better. And, even worse than that, we stop ourselves achieving what we want to achieve and, in the process, confirm to ourselves that it's quite likely we'll never achieve them.
But what you need to realise right now is... there's only one step that you need to take in the right direction. Meditation enables everything else. Everything flows from the present state of mind that meditation enables you develop.
You stop reacting and start acting. You start doing the right things and you start doing them effortlessly. And, in doing so, you let yourself lead yourself effortlessly towards the kind of life you'd love to live - starting in the only place and time you can... the here and now.
